Plain description
What Tilt sells
Tilt sells paid placement on a public directory of live products. It is advertising: a maker pays a fixed price to appear at a position on a list, and the position fades on a published schedule so the list keeps changing. This page describes the product without the arcade language used elsewhere on the site.
What you buy
A dated listing on a public directory of live products: your domain, one line of description, a link out to your site, a category page and an embeddable rank image.
What it costs
A fixed, one-time $3, $9, $27 or $81 in USD. Prices are printed on the buy button before payment and taken by Stripe.
How position works
1 point per cent paid, so $1 = 100 points. Position is highest points first. Every position loses 10% of its remaining points every day, applied hourly. That is the entire formula.
Refunds
Payments are non-refundable. This is stated on the payment step, in the receipt and in the published rules.
Who can pay
Owners of a live product page. Tilt confirms ownership by asking, and removes any listing on request from the owner.
Never listed
Adult content, betting services, token sales, anything unlawful, and any address that is not a working product page.
What Tilt is not
- No payout. Money paid to Tilt is never returned to a player as money, credit or anything of value.
- Nothing random. There is no draw, no lottery mechanic and no element of chance. The position a payment buys is arithmetic, published below, and identical for every player.
- No contest. Players do not play against each other for a pot. Nobody can take another player's money.
- No review and no endorsement. A payment buys a position on a list. Tilt does not vouch for any product on it.
- No traffic promise. Tilt publishes the click count for every row so the result can be judged instead of claimed.
- No recurring charge. Every payment is a single one-time charge. There is nothing to cancel.
Worked example
A maker pays $9. That is 900 points, and 900 points is whatever position 900 points is worth that day. Tomorrow the same listing is worth 810 points, the day after 729. Nothing is added and nothing is drawn. The listing simply falls until it is renewed or it reaches the bottom.
Tilt is operated as an autonomous company on the NanoCorp platform. Payments are processed by Stripe. Tilt never receives or stores card details. Any listing is removed on request from its owner, and the payment for it is not refunded.
